Laura

Certified Dental Assistant

  • Laura grew up in Calgary, Alberta and moved to Kelowna in 1973. She graduated from Okanagan College in 1981 as a Certified Dental Assistant. Laura has been in the same dental office since 1982 and has been with Dr. Burgess for 6 years.

  • Laura loves to cook, bake, and entertain her friends, as well as sing karaoke and was in musical theatre when she was younger. She also adores gardening!

  • 1 fun fact about Laura is that she loves her “bling”. If it has any sparkles on it she will wear it!


Sierra

Certified Dental Assistant

  • Sierra was born and raised in Kelowna. She graduated from Okanagan College as a Certified Dental Assistant in 2022. Sierra started working for Dr. Burgess in 2022. 

  • In Sierra’s free time she loves playing soccer and competing in archery, she also enjoys car rides with friends and hanging with family members! 

  • 1 fun fact about Sierra is that she has been to Las Vegas 5 times for Worlds in archery!

Lori

Registered Dental Hygienist

  • Lori grew up in Sherwood Park, Alberta and moved to Kelowna in 1983. She also graduated from the University of Alberta in 1983 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Lori has been in this practice since 1990 previous to Dr. Burgess and has continued on with him in the 6 years that he has been here. 

  • She loves spending time with her husband, her boys and their spouses when she’s not busy cleaning teeth! She enjoys long hours spent with her loving pets and she cherishes the outdoors.

  • 1 fun fact about Lori is that her favourite music group is Coldplay!

Karen

Registered Dental Hygienist

  • Karen graduated from Loma Linda University in 1991 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She has been in the same office since 2014 and has been with Dr. Burgess for 6 years!

  • She adores going kayaking and has a blast travelling around and seeing new places!

  • 1 cool fact about Karen is that she lived in Guyana, South America for 5 years!

Susan

Registered Dental Hygienist

  • Susan grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba and moved to Kelowna in 2011. She graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1982 as a Registered Dental Hygienist. 

  • In Susan's free time she loves to cycle along the rail trail and dine out! She also has a love for travelling. 

  • 1 fun fact about Susan is that she used to sing opera and she was associated with a choir!

Rikki

Registered Dental Hygienist

  • Rikki graduated from The Canadian Academy of Dental Health and Community Sciences in Mississauga Ontario in 2018. She achieved Dean’s List while she was there! Rikki started working for Dr. Burgess in 2021.

  • In Rikki’s free time she loves spending time outdoors and going for extravagant hikes, as well as spending time with friends and family. She also adores going to concerts and seeing her favourite artists perform! 

  • 1 fun fact about Rikki is that she has over 30 houseplants that, for the most part, she keeps alive! 

Louise

Patient Coordinator

  • Louise grew up in Lethbridge Alberta and relocated to Kelowna in 2007. She graduated in 2014 with a Honors Diploma for Medical Office Assistant. Louise started working for Dr. Burgess in 2019. 

  • Louise enjoys long walks with her 2 rescue dogs, and is always up for hiking and looking for the next nature photoshoot! She also takes advantage of all the extravagant wineries and beaches in the Okanagan.

  • 1 fun fact about Louise is that she has been playing soccer for over 6 years in Kelowna!

Marla

Receptionist

  • Marla lived in Penticton and eventually moved to Kelowna in 1999. She graduated from Okanagan College as a Dental Administrative Assistant in 2022. 

  • In Marla's free time she loves to go paddleboarding on the Okanagan lake to relax and enjoy the scenery, she adores long walks near the ocean when she and her family travel to the Island. Marla takes great pleasure in going for hikes around the Okanagan!

  • 1 fun fact about Marla is that she loves travelling to Las Vegas and she has one restaurant she enjoys going to while she admires the strip!

Had a bike accident chipping my front tooth. Brendon got me in right away and did an amazing job matching the filling to the enamel and other teeth. Removed minimal tooth in the process of attaching! So happy with the work done :) We have also brought our kids here and love his dental philosophy. Don't feel pressured to do a bunch of fillings and is so great with kids! Fantastic dentist! Best we have ever seen!

Best dentist around. If your scared of the dentist this place is for you. I am terrifed of the dentist but he makes me feel very comfortable. He is extremely gentle. His staff is also amazing and very helpful. I would highly recommend him.

I went to see Dr. Brendon about some horrible dental problems that I've been having to deal with. He helped me understand the whole process ahead of me to have everything fixed. He is very patient, kind, and compassionate. Highly recommend him to anyone!

Brendon was great! He was honest in telling me what I needed and did not need. His hygenist was also really nice and gentle considering I am not extremely comfortable going to the dentist. I would recommend him to anyone.
